Your mission in the team: 

Reporting to the Retail Operations Manager, the incumbent acts as a resource person, ensuring the constant improvement of the image and management of each store in their territory. 

 

 

Your responsibilities as Retail Operations Advisor: 

- Ensures the sound operational management of the stores in their territory. 

- Provides the required coaching, training and support to customers in their territory in order to achieve sales and gross profits objectives, inventory management and appropriate ordering methods, controllable expense management and loss forecasting. 

- Ensures the quality of the commercial image required by Le Groupe Jean Coutu (PJC) Inc., compliance with the various marketing programs (implementation and follow-up) and the quality of non-section and seasonal merchandising. 

- Makes, when required and with the approval of the Merchandising Director, changes to the merchandising of the stores. 

- Ensures an excellent level of regular and promotional service. 

- Provides the required coaching and support for regular and seasonal purchases. 

- Handles customer complaints professionally and to customer satisfaction. 

- Analyzes and reviews, if required, store structures according to established performance standards. 

- Involvement and key responsibilities in renovation/opening/relocation projects. 

- Plans banner conversions when acquiring pharmacies in their territory (image changes, redevelopments, staff and management training). 

- Visits the competition, analyzes market trends, observes new developments and documents research. 

- Participates in the development and execution of training programs for managers, assistant managers and new franchisees. 

- Coaches managers in their territory. 

- Coaches store management on merchandising, laboratory operations, cosmetics, photography and administration. 

- Maintains good business relations with franchisees and with the various departments of Le Groupe Jean Coutu (PJC) Inc. in order to best represent everyone’s interests. 

- Contributes to the advancement of tools and methods of the Retail Operations department. 

- Performs all other related tasks. 

 

 

The qualifications we are looking for: 

- Bachelor's degree in administration or equivalent university training. 

- Five (5) years’ experience in a similar position. 

- Sound knowledge of the merchandising and operational aspects of a store or other commercial establishment. 

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and Outlook). 

- Must be available for frequent travel. 

- Bilingualism required.
