SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for providing support to the Transportation Project Manager in analysis of short-term and long-term strategies, day-to-day operations, and continuous improvement initiatives. This will include data mining, developing reports to monitor KPI's, and establishing standardized processes. The Transportation Data Analyst be the lead in designing, developing and implement improved reporting tools. The incumbent must have strong analytical skills, experience in working on cross-functional projects, and the ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner to senior leadership.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to understand business requirements, analyze, develop, and drive integrated transportation processes that ensure continuous improvements in department costs and service levels
- Manage, develop, source and mine report data to identify anomalies, patterns and correlations in data sets to identify areas to improve service levels, improve operational efficiencies, and reduce department costs
- Manage, develop and coordinate delivery of training for reporting tools to relevant stakeholders
- Design database management systems, implement, amend and manage reporting tools. Test data models as per business needs. Perform regular audits or processes and KPI's to ensure data is being report accurately
- Lead data-driven projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assist in delivering short and long term strategies with the distribution and logistics teams
- Document core process and workflows to develop SOP's and manage updates/changes to all SOP's
- Provide recommendation and establish processes on how to maintain master data
- Support change management efforts as new tools and/or processes are established/improved
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
- 5+ Years experience in Transportation and/or Supply Chain
- Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and database application skills. Experience writing VBA code and macros required Programming skills are an asset
- Proficient in supply chain software: WMS (EXE), TMS (JDA), ERP (SAP)
- Experience in data mining, and both quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Experience in both quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication. Comfortable presenting to senior leadership
- Ability to speak French considered an asset
