The typical salary range for this position is $88 740.00 - $103 530.00 annually. The base salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.
This posting is for an existing temporary full-time 12-month contract.

Your mission on the team:
To make our grocery store operations increasingly efficient, Metro has established a Continuous Improvement team whose mandate is to identify and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing our operational excellence in order to better serve our customers. Whether implementing technological solutions or optimizing processes, the Continuous Improvement team works collaboratively with the operations teams of our banners (Metro Quebec, Metro Ontario, Super C, Food Basics, Adonis) to simplify and enhance the experience of both our customers and our employees.
The incumbent must be a natural leader with strong skills in program coordination, strategic thinking, delegation, and the ability to effectively manage relationships with multiple stakeholders at all organizational levels. This key role will be responsible for establishing, leading, and sustaining program and project management best practices at the national level. The incumbent will oversee the organization, direction, and execution of a portfolio of transformation projects and initiatives in order to deliver results and achieve benefits of high strategic importance for the company.
Your responsibilities as Continuous Improvement Program Manager:
- Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives spanning one or more business lines.
- Ensure proper program execution, including full implementation from initiation through post-deployment follow-up.
- Proactively establish and lead the implementation of roadmaps, business strategies, governance, processes, and program management tools.
- Define and maintain organizational standards for satisfaction, quality, and performance.
- Implement and continuously manage tools to track program performance (roadmap, strategy, governance, processes, etc.)
- Guide project teams in implementing standard project management practices, processes, and tools aligned with program management roadmaps and strategies.
- Develop and manage key program performance indicators (KPIs), such as scope, timelines, overall program budget, resources, risks, and benefits, to control overall execution and provide solutions when issues arise.
- Develop and present program performance reports to stakeholders outlining status, progress, risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with directors and executives on budgeting and planning for the Continuous Improvement program to ensure alignment among stakeholders and secure required approvals.
- Engage program stakeholders by creating and facilitating open and consistent communication channels.
- Define and promote continuous improvement of program and project management practices to ensure long-term sustainability.
The qualifications we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
- 5 to 7 years of experience in project/program management
- Strong knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes
- Solid financial knowledge, including large-scale program/project budgeting
- Bilingualism required (French and English, spoken and written)
- Willingness to travel, as travel is required for this role (Ontario and Quebec)
