The typical salary range for this position is $41 280.00 - $56 760.00 annually. The base salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.


This position is an existing temporary, full-time position until August 28, 2026

SUMMARY:

Claims coordination and administrative support to assist the Risk Management team with the control and mitigation of risk for Liability, Property and Auto claims and insurance requirements for the Ontario sector.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Sorts, collects, delivers, scans and prioritizes daily incoming and outgoing mail; physical and electronic

- Reviews store surveillance; completes various forms and produces sequential photos; burns relevant coverage

- Administers incoming claims, ensuring integrity within the Clear Risk database

- Assigns new claims to various handlers according to department processes

- Coordinates claim information and defense documentation as per specified assessment priority and instruction (e.g. inclusion of verbal communications with stores or other stakeholders)

- Provides administrative support to the Risk Management team for the preparation of litigation, closing audits, transactions and database reconciliation

- Assists with the cheque requisition process (drop off requisitons/pick up cheques, scan and log cheques, distribute cheques to appropriate handler)

- Accurately organizes, scans, and stores Floor Care Program, employee schedule, and other defense documentation from all Ontario stores

- Maintains accurate and organized physical filing system, retrieves files in archives, and culls files for destroy dates and security shredding

- Assists with the maintenance and organizatin of department supplies

- Maintains the defense library under instruction of supervisor

- Assist with other projects as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Student working towards the completion of an undergraduate degree or diploma with a discipline in risk management, insurance claims, business preferred

- Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel and Office, Outlook, and Database software

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Excellent time management skills

- Independent thinker interested in taking initiative

- Proven ability to multitask and follow up on actions/ issues

- Demonstrates accuracy and adheres to privacy
